I went to the coast of Southern California to shoot its majestic, fiery sunsets, and I captured several of these images (see fire in the sky). As infatuated as I was with these spectacles, it was the less dramatic but more reflective sunsets of misty afternoons that won my heart. I fell in love with the pillows of cool blues, the haze of lemony yellows and the wash of soft pastels that sleep in the misty skies, barely visible to the naked eye, but awakened on the pixels of a digital sensor
